Well, it has been a long time.
The reason for this hiatus and now (maybe last) return post is as follows.
Following my ratings and use of many sites to stream football and, in particular, the Premier League, a lot has changed over the years.
Suddenly, it got easier to legally stream. With a simple VPN or smart DNS (definitely recommended), you can easily use streaming services like YouTube or Fubo TV.
So in that case, why am I writing this, and what am I currently using?
Before I answer that, let me take you through a very quick journey of mine.
1
I discovered Smart DNSs. they are SO much better than VPNs for many reasons.
Some of them are:
- Doesnt slow down the internet
- Doesnt get disconnected
- Can taylor it per site for example:
- BBC - UK site
- Fox- USA site
- Fubo - Canada
etc
In this period, I tried many Smart DNS options, always looking for lifetime deals. In the end, I used one for a really long time, until I finally settled on ControlD. I still use this on my router, and it lets me filter and set rules to protect my family and me, reduce ads, and create custom rules for each site and service.
2
The Fox network bought the rights to the Premier League. With ControlD and a small subscription fee, I was good for a season or two.
3
Fox lost their license, but I discovered Sling TV.
Sling TV basically allowed me to watch all the games I wanted while also having TV for my family.
4
Sling started to cost a lot and so I moved over to Fubo tv.
5
I discovered that if I set my Fubo DNS to Canada instead of the USA, I can get the subscription for much less. I did lose a LOT of the channels and sports they offered, but for my use case, it didn't matter since they had the Premier League.
6
My family started to get bigger, my children got older, and suddenly they wanted to watch American sports as well. Back to Sling I went.
7
And that is was the last stop of my journey, as quite by accident I found a different solution. A solution not so legal, a solution not expensive, a solution that gave me everything I wanted. IPTV.
Now, as we know, not all services are the same (hence why I started this blog in the beginning), but to cut it short, I tried many different services and came down to the final winner that I have been using till this day.
A few caveats before the reveal:
- The UK, in particular, is trying to shut down these sites. A VPN may be needed depending on how much the government causes issues.
- I have had a few minor hiccups with streaming certain things. However, their support (via Telegram only) is super responsive and has helped fix it immediately.
Another word:
This IPTV service has these features:
- Live channels across the whole world ( 33,000 channels in total). You want to watch UK TV - you can. Russian - you can. Mexican - that as well.
- They have a massive library of TV shows and movies (120,000 in total). If it's out there, they probably have it. You could cancel your Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, etc., subscriptions, as they are all listed here.\
- Works on most smart TVs, Android, iOS, Windows, Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, etc.
The service is called StreamQ - NOTE: there are a few services with the same name. ONLY use the link provided here. To make sure you get the right one.
